World War 1 Peom #1
We were the ones who wouldup hold our chests,
The ones who wore the decorated vests,
The ones who fist responded to the trumpet of war,

Only to find misery death blood and gore,
We were the ones to first see our friends insides on the out,
To see what real war is all about,
The ones who hag our lungs poisoned and torn,
To watch others derformities take form,
So one day, you may stop by and ask,
Why did you do what you did in the past,

And the whisper of our graves carried by the wind blowing through,
Will say, "We did this for innocent people just like you".

World War 1 Peom #2
Our faith can't be broken,
Though our bodies can,
All the things we have hope in,
Won't blow away with the sand,
We will stand firm,
And are willing to pay the cost,
The medals we have earned,
All in our hearts have been lost.
We fight a fight of courage,
We fight a fight of freedom,
Not one for popularity or fame,
To think of it is such a shame!
